Weights Are Key

According to CDC, there are numerous benefits to strength training regularly, particularly as you grow older. It can be very powerful in reducing the signs and symptoms of numerous diseases and chronic conditions, among them:

Other benefits include sleep improvement, healthy heart tissue, restoration of balance, and a reduction in falls. As it relates to proper weight maintenance, strength training can provide up to a 15% increase in metabolic rate, which is enormously helpful for weight loss and long-term weight control. A healthy state of mind is also a great benefit. Strength training provides improvements in depression as anti-depressant medications, and has also repeatedly been shown to correlate with lower risk of a number of cancers.

In my experiences, strength training is the quickest way to improve every client’s body composition, especially female. In older trainees, proper strength training reduces and sometimes impedes chronic joint pain. Building strength creates balance in opposing muscles and builds flexibility in joints. Becoming strong and flexible makes everyday tasks easier and safer by giving the trainee stability. Numerous trainees have improved their self-image by becoming strong and consequently lean.
